Take A Look At The Final "Divergent" Trailer

The best selling trilogy-turned blockbuster, Divergent, has released a new (and final) trailer before its March 21st release date. This trailer is much like the other sneak peaks but this time shows depth to Shailene Woodley’s character, Tris Prior and the setting of the world she lives in.
The scene is set much like The Hunger Games, a post-war society where the government has chosen 5 “sanctions” for people to exist in. Tris is at the age to take her test “to determine who we are and where we belong” aka what sanction she falls into. Her score is inconclusive as she can control and conquer fear, which is a threat to the government, ruled by Kate Winslet.
Therefore she is deemed divergent and must hide from the government in a “faction” and learn to defend herself in case she is found. Add in large-scale stunts, a cute boy (Theo James) to train her and what seems like an uprising led by the former The Secret Life of the American Teenager star, and you’ve got a sci-fi classic in the making.
There are new additions to the trailer. They revealed more actual lines from the film instead of just the visual effects. This gives us a better idea of how the characters will be played rather than how the visual team made the movie. The effects still seem extremely well done. Now that the dialogue is there the effects add to the story instead of taking away from it.
One exciting addition is, Woodley is being carried over a crowd and later standing above the crowd, waving a flag to deafening cheers. This visual lends to the idea that she will become a hero for the people. There are also looks into the various tests she will take before being named a “divergent.”
The hype of this film is huge and the books fan base is expecting a lot. After watching the trailer, it seems it will live up to the expectations and give The Hunger Games and Twilight a run for their money.
