One of the shorter conferences of the Expo, Bethesda spent about thirty minutes showcasing what new projects it has in development. Let’s take a look!
On the Bethesda VR side of things, the conference gave us an exclusive look at DOOM VFR and Fallout 4 VR, while Bethesda also announced the Creation Club, a service which will cater exclusively to mods for Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with add-on content created by developers and community members alike.
Speaking of The Elder Scrolls, there was quite a bit of news in regards to one of Bethesda’s flagship series. Firstly, The Elder Scrolls Online gave us a closer look at the Morrowind expansion, and The Elder Scrolls: Legends announced new arena and competitive modes as well as Dark Brotherhood story content. Finally, Bethesda brought us a trailer for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch.
A new installment in the classic Quake series, Quake Champions, is set to open beta soon. Quake Champions will be largely showcased at the Quake World Championships at QuakeCon on August 26th in Dallas, where players will compete for a one million dollar cash prize.
Dishonored 2, which released last November, will receive its first piece of DLC on September 15th. In Death of the Outsider, assassins Daud and Billy Lurk take on the black-eyed god responsible for the supernatural powers that series protagonists Corvo and Emily possess.
In October (specifically on Friday the 13th, very deliberate) players will be able to get their hands on The Evil Within 2, a sequel to the 2014 horror title developed by Tango. The last trailer Bethesda had to show was for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, a new installment in the Wolfenstein series that will see release on October 27th.
Bethesda closed their conferences by promising that all the content they showed will be available this year, so lots of exciting things to look forward to! Stay tuned to Emertainment for more E3 conference news!
