Here are some of the games announced at Electronic Arts’ press conference:

Plants vs. Zombies – Garden Warfare

A sequel to Popcap’s Plants vs. Zombies, PVZ: Garden Warfare is a third person multiplayer action game. It will release for the Xbox One and then Xbox 360. It features four-player co-op mode and each plant has its own classes, such as the Sunflower healer. Release dates have not been announced.

Titanfall

Titanfall is a sci-fi first person shooter engineered by Respawn games. The fine feature of the game is large battle robots called titans. The game features both player combat as well as titan combat – that is, you can switch between your titan and your player within the game.

Star Wars Battlefront

Created by DICE, EA featured a teaser trailer for the next, and heavily anticipated, Star Wars Battlefront installment.

Need for Speed Rivals

EA showcased a new generation for the Need for Speed series, Need for Speed: Rivals. Developed by Ghost Games, the car racing game captures the rush and adrenaline of street racing. The game can be played single player and co-op. The game features car races as well as police chases. Players can also use the SmartGlass system to call in units like a helicopter for example. Need for Speed Rivals will be released for both the Xbox One and the Playstation 4.

EA Sports Ignite

EA Sports Ignite also showcased their new lineup of sports games. These include titles such as NBA Live 14. Reenvisioned with next generation technology such as bounce Tek, NBA Live 14 will also update in real time.

Another title announced was Madden NFL 25. It has new features such as player sense that allows players to react on the fly and “war in the trenches,” which features more dynamic linemen. A special cover will feature Adrian Peterson.

FIFA Soccer also returns to the console with FIFA 14. Innovations include seeing player and audience reactions and having CPUs make 4x more calculations per minute. It will showcase the breathtaking world of Soccer.

In traditional UFC style, EA brought in a UFC announcer to present their new game UFC. UFC features a new MMAI system, that allows fighters to organically change the style of their fight. It arrives Spring 2014.

EA Sports Ignite games will be released for both the PS4 and the Xbox One.

Battlefield 4

Dice’s Battlefield 4 followed, featuring an impressive 64-person demo. Playing on the Shanghai map, Battlefront 4 developers led viewers at E3 through a multiplayer battle. Game developers coined Battlefront 4 as a Levolution, a game that brings you all out war. It features land sea and air gameplay and commander mode that gives you a bird’s eye view of the game. You can also interact with the game anywhere, anytime, and on several different devices. Though it will be released across consoles, the special DLC, Second Assault will be released first for Xbox One. It is expected this fall.

Finally, Dice and EA showcased what they said was “the one specific thing” gamers were waiting for: a new Mirror’s Edge.
