Julianne Moore’s Odds are Certainly in Her Favor as New Hunger Games Cast Member

Four time Academy Award nominated actress Julianne Moore will be joining The Hunger Games franchise late next year. Lionsgate announced on Friday that Moore will be a part of the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.
In the third and fourth installments of the series, Moore will depict the manipulative rebel leader of District 13, President Alma Coin. The complex antagonist role is certainly different for Moore, who is most known for her performances in Magnolia, The Big Lebowski, and more recently, Game Change.
Part 1 of Mockingjay will premiere in November of 2014, a year after the second film of the series, Catching Fire, is released. This much anticipated sequel has created a hype that can be compared to that of Harry Potter.
Immediately after The Hunger Games released the casting news on their official Facebook page,  fans of the Hunger Games franchise known as “tributes.” flocked to comment their opinions. Many were positive and agreed that Moore is “perfect” for the role.
In Mockingjay, Moore will join the star cast of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. Other newcomers to the sequel, directed by Francis Lawrence, will include Philip Seymour Hoffman, Evan Ross, and Natalie Dormer.
As Catching Fire reaches the theaters this November, keep an eye out for more Hunger Games news. Mockingjay – Part 1 and Mockingjay – Part 2 will be released November 21, 2014 and November 20, 2015 respectively.
