New Years Eve is finally here and no matter what your plans are for the notorious night, there’s no doubt music can have a huge influence on the mood you enter 2014 in. So to help you make the most of it all, Emertainment Monthly came up with a high-energy playlist sure to bring in the new year on the absolute best note possible.

“Extra Time” – Star Slinger

[spotify id=”spotify:track:4szkQwpVpxLh1m2FzqwfhY” width=”300″ height=”380″ /]

Set the tone for your fun night out with this upbeat, rhythmically complex tune. “Extra Time” has a distinct sound that lies somewhere between a chipper cartoon soundtrack and a crooning R&B tune, but it totally works for Star Slinger.

“Treat Me Right” – Keys N Krates

[spotify id=”spotify:track:1F1HPCBJGkmqOXkSnwNa8X” width=”300″ height=”380″ /]

We’re all hoping 2014 treats us right, and this track from the Toronto trio is the perfect song to send off 2013 with. The driving beats and fast paced tempo on “Treat Me Right” are just what you need as you head out into the night.

“All Nite” – Rustie

[spotify id=”spotify:track:3VZ7mqhfBdMGbt2ScyBjwE” width=”300″ height=”380″ /]

There’s always that inevitable point in the night when things start to lag, so get back into the groove with “All Nite.” You can beat the lull and get back into the groove of things with this song’s funky synths, soothing vocals, and drifting melody.

“Get Busy Y’All” – What So Not

[spotify id=”spotify:track:4ezEWWb6Ml3hpS2bmzn0df” width=”300″ height=”380″ /]

When it’s time to show off your sultry dance moves, this is definitely the track you want blasting out of the speakers. Chock full of pounding rhythms and chopped up beats, there’s no way to avoid dancing to “Get Busy Y’All.”

“Born To Rage” – Dada Life

[spotify id=”spotify:track:2gYnCbFMvz1kpvhrxWReO6″ width=”300″ height=”380″ /]

The infamous party duo from Sweden proves they have discovered the formula for a perfect party anthem with “Born to Rage.” There’s nothing else you’ll want playing as the countdown draws near. The countless buildups and inevitable drops on this track might seem a bit predictable, but it’s exactly what we’ll all be looking for when partying with best friends and strangers alike at the tail end of 2013.

“Here” – Robert DeLong

[spotify id=”spotify:track:1T5W2TZOovdq5YiJGgXQp8″ width=”300″ height=”380″ /]

It can be easy to get caught up in resolutions during the holidays, but keep yourself grounded in the moment with DeLong’s “Here.” Equal parts inspiring love song and cheerful dance track, “Here” reminds you about the beauty of living in the now, which is especially easy to do when you’ve got bubbly melodies and DeLong’s hazy vocals as the soundtrack to your adventure.

“What Now” – Alex Metric

[spotify id=”spotify:track:1do6gofb40xdYurDsvkWLZ” width=”300″ height=”380″ /]

Get one last dance in before the end of the night with this funky disco-tinged track. Fast, repetitive beats and a plethora of melodic layers provide you with the adrenaline needed to make one final push and come out a definite champion of New Year’s Eve.

“Sweet Memories” – Mondkopf

[spotify id=”spotify:track:6XILf3GwCBg6gsbBLQbSbS” width=”300″ height=”380″ /]

Just because the night’s coming to a close, doesn’t mean you have to turn down completely. Ease yourself into the new year with Mondkopf’s dark, pulsing rhythms. They provide the perfect soundtrack for reflecting on the crazy night you just had.

“Gimme Back The Night” – Brodinski

[spotify id=”spotify:track:0EgTozctT5I7l6uSCXauCL” width=”300″ height=”380″ /]

Following in the mood set by Mondkopf, this tune will help you come to terms with the fact that 2013 is officially over. Lose yourself in Theophilus London’s narrative lyrics and Brodinski’s perfectly crafted, foreboding melody; it’s a fail-proof distraction when sleep seems so close yet so far away.

“Piece Of Future” – Gesaffelstein

[spotify id=”spotify:track:07SbIV9daMDEXTtsYoe1KO” width=”300″ height=”380″ /]

Definitely the darkest tune on this playlist, Gesaffelstein’s clearly identifiable brand of French techno will carry you off to bed at the end of the night with dreams of the year ahead. Hauntingly minimalistic, “Piece Of Future” is the only way to end your unforgettable New Year’s Eve.
