Bravely Default is a JRPG made by Square Enix, the makers of the legendary Final Fantasy series, and called a ‘spiritual successor’ to that franchise.

All content is demo-exclusive, with up to seven unlockable rewards gained from quests that can be carried over to the full game when it is released on February 7.

No experience or JP (job points) gained in the demo are retained when transferred over however, so don’t worry about grinding to prepare for the full release.

The demo features seven sidequests and four bosses not available in the main game. It starts with the rebuilding of Norende, the home of protagonist Tiz Arrior. It was devastated by an event called ‘The Great Chasm’, a cataclysmic event that the main game will focus on.

Up to 20 StreetPass tags will carry over to the main game, which are used to fill up your village. The characters of StreetPassers or friends can also be summoned in battle to briefly aid your team.

Stay tuned to Emertainment Monthly for a full review of the game once it hits stores.

Bravely Default will be available for purchase on February 7.
