It seems that Amy Poehler is just about the busiest person in comedy. Just last Sunday she and fellow Saturday Night Live alum Tina Fey hosted the Golden Globes for the second time and she won her first award for lead actress in a comedy series for her role on Parks and Recreation.

Just a few days after her win, it was announced by NBC president Robert Greenblatt that the show would be renewed for a seventh season which was a pleasant surprise to fans because the network usually doesn’t release information about the show’s future until the last minute.

Even if the show hadn’t been renewed, Poehler isn’t going anywhere. NBC announced that they just signed a three year deal with her for a new comedy series starring Orange is the New Black cast member Natasha Lyonne. Poehler co-created and will executive produce the new show with famed producer Dave Becky who has worked on comedies such as Louie and Everybody Hates Chris. Theres no word about when its set to air but a show this good is worth the wait.

Poehler is also co-creating the new NBC sitcom Welcome to Sweden with her brother Greg Poehler. That’s right, funny runs in the family! The two created their own production company Skyson and are both executive producers on the new show. Greg is set to star as the lead actor on this first ever English-Swedish sitcom while Amy is set to have a small recurring role. The show is based on Greg’s real life where he’s an American moving to Sweden to follow the girl he has fallen in love with. This is Greg’s acting debut but if he’s anything like Amy, the show is sure to be a hit. The show has also locked down some amazing guest stars including Parks and Rec star Aubrey Plaza, and Gene Simmons. For more from Greg Poehler make sure to follow him at @GregPoehler on twitter (he’s pretty hilarious).

Neither of these sitcom’s release dates have been announced yet, so if you can’t wait for more Amy Poehler inspired comedy, make sure to watch her new show Broad City. The show premiered this week at 10:30/9:30c on Comedy Central. Poehler is the executive producer for the new series that was created by and starring UCB alums Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer. The show is based off their web series and is about two women in their twenties trying to make it by in New York City. The show is absolutely hysterical and has a down to earth realistic perspective of what its like living in the city. Although some parts are definitely a little out there.. and yes i’m referring to Fred Armisen’s guest appearance as a grown man who thinks he’s a baby.

Amy will also be starring in the upcoming movie They Came Together alongside Paul Rudd. The movie is a mock rom-com with a similar story structure to You’ve Got Mail. Poehler plays a candy store owner whose business is being threatened by a candy store chain executive played by Rudd. The movie is written and produced by David Wain who worked with the two actors years ago in the comedy Wet Hot American Summer. The movie is set to hit Sundance today with a release date hopefully coming out sometime in the near future.

So to recap.. four reasons you should love Amy Poehler:

1. She so good at hosting the Golden Globes, that she’s been asked to do it three times.

2. Her show Parks and Rec is hilariously entertaining and is coming back for another season.

3. She’s great at multitasking! She has not one not two but three shows she’s producing!

4. She’s the lead in a new type of romantic comedy.
