PaleyFest 2015 continued on Wednesday March 11th with a star studded panel by the MTV hit series Teen Wolf. The cast stopped by to discuss the upcoming fifth season, their characters progressions and being one, giant, happy wolf family. Emertainment Monthly has rounded up the top discussion points of the star-studded panel.
This years panel was monitored by a devote Teen Wolf fan, Jarrett Wieselman, who works for BuzzFeed in the entertainment department. The panel featured, Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Holland Roden, Dylan Sprayberry, Shelley Hennig, Arden Cho, Crystal Reed and executive producer Jeff Davis. The panel began with Davis discussing how he got involved with the project and why he decided to make Teen Wolf. He says, “I can do romance, comedy, horror and thriller. Teen Wolf was a good way to make a suspense show.” He then thanked the fans in the audience and at home that watch every week. Thanks to them, Teen Wolf will hit 80 episodes come this year.

Tyler Posey, who plays the main character Scott McCall, reflected on how he got the pilot that ultimately changed his life. He may have been nervous going into the audition but he knew how special it was. He booked the part a week after auditioning. He reflects by saying, “To this day, I’ve never been as passionate about getting a job as I was with Teen Wolf.” Crystal Reed, who played Allison Argent until the characters sudden death in season three, took some time to talk about why she loved the character. Although, Allison was the main love interest for Scott’s character, Reed says she was so much more, “She was empowered. So much more to her than meets the eye.”
The characters on Teen Wolf  have gone through some dramatic and chilling changes. The character arcs on the show are astounding and Holland Roden and Dylan O’Brien, who play Lydia and Styles respectively, have gone through the most changes. O’Brien says, “I wouldn’t change a damn thing about Stiles. I’ve loved playing him for 5 years. I totally enjoy him. I love anything the writers throw at me.”

One of the biggest casting changes this season is that Tyler Hoechlin (who was not available for the PaleyFest Panel) will not be a series regular this season. Davis addressed the issue by saying that Hoechlin is still part of the cast and his character will return but he wants to pursue other opportunities.
The cast reflected on how close they have all become. Relatively new cast members, Dylan Sprayberry, Shelley Hennig and Arden Cho discussed coming into such a tight knit community. Hennig says “I felt really welcomed on Teen Wolf. My first week was Crystal’s last week. I feel part of it… This show’s been so good to me. I just love Malia. No complaints from me.”

Jeff Davis also let slip small bits of information about Teen Wolf’s fifth season, which is set to premiere this summer on MTV. He says one of his favorite scenes to shoot is coming up where it’s an entire cold open devoted solely to Lydia. He also says this season will go back to focusing on the teen characters, which is something the show has strayed from in recent seasons. He also discussed that most of this upcoming season will focus on senior year and fans will see new stuff from the characters Liam and Kira and their will be a definite refocus on the Stiles and Scott bromance.
The panel wrapped up with the Teen Wolf cast reflecting on their favorite moments from the last five years and their dream guest stars for the show. Holland talks about her favorite moments, which involve all the white-room scenes. O’Brien says the pilot is and will always be his favorite episode/moment because “that’s where it all started.” Jeff Davis favorite moments are the comedy scenes between Scott and Stiles because they allow for moments of comedy to rise to the surface. His other favorite moment was the bromance hug between Scott and Stiles during the MRI scene in season three episode 18. Some dream guest stars from the cats include Bryan Cranston, Jessica Lange, Julianne Moore, Chris Pratt and Brad Pitt.
Teen Wolf returns with season five on June 29, 2015 at 10/11c on MTV
