The first few months of the year can often seem dismal for film fans. The onslaught of oscar hopefuls is subsiding and the theaters are typically filled with half-baked genre pictures, summer blockbusters still far off in the distance. Luckily for those ever-lucky Boston audiences, the Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival is returning to the Somerville Theater from February 5th to the 15th! In it’s 41st year, the festival is the oldest genre specific fest in the States, and promises to provide plenty of exciting viewing opportunities. Included in this years lineup are classics such as Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, locally shot movies like Space People, and international shorts like The Man Who Caught a Mermaid. Check out the rest of the lineup below!
