After announcing the release of a debut album, Lieutenant has announced a U.S. tour.  With the founder being Foo Fighter’s guitarist, Nate Mendel, there were concerns that Lieutenant’s tour would interfere with the upcoming Foo Fighter’s tour.  But lucky for us, this tour will be short and sweet and will end before Foo Fighters depart on their extensive tour.
The debut album, titled If I Kill This Thing We’re All Going to Eat for a Week, which is due to be released on March 10th, will be accompanied by a tour of shows in major cities across the US.
March 18 – Austin, TX – SXSW
March 21 – New Orleans, LA – The Parish @ House of Blues
March 23 – Nashville, TN – Exit In
March 24 – Columbus, OH – The Basement
March 26 – Washington, DC – Black Cat/Back Stage
March 27 – Philadelphia, PA – Johnny Brenda’s
March 28 – New York, NY – Mercury Lounge
March 30 – Brooklyn, NY – St. Vitus
April 1 – Toronto, ON – Mod Club
April 2 – Pontiac, MI – Pike Room
April 3 – Chicago, IL – Empty Bottle
April 5 – Denver, CO – Larimer Lounge
April 8 – Los Angeles, CA – Troubadour
The tour will kick off at Austin’s famed South By Southwest festival and then hit a few southern cities before heading up north to play in New York City, Philly, and D.C.  Lieutenant will be wrapping up their tour in their hometown of L.A. before Nate Mendel kicks off his next tour with the Foos.
