As part of the YouTube Music Awards, Charli XCX has debuted a new video for “Famous.” Donning her usual bubblegum swagger, Charli highlights the rose-colored glasses of social media. In addition, director Eric Wareheim injects body humor, surrealism, and disgustingly “on fleek” costumes. What the two bring together is as flashy as it is terrifying, ultimately serving as a jarringly perfect commentary on how our generation uses social media today.
