Nintendo couldn’t even wait until its own E3 Direct to begin unveiling new content. Today they announced a huge lineup of DLC for Super Smash Bros. 4.

Kicking it all off, Roy from the Fire Emblem series makes his triumphant return. An updated character model and apparently increased strength, along with a cheeky hit on the Koopaling Roy in the trailer should make fans happy to see the classic fighter back in the game.

Eight new Mii Fighter costumes will be released as well, including:
Mega Man X and Zero for the gunner, from Mega Man X
Isabelle for the gunner, from Animal Crossing
Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl, and Squid Hat for the gunner, from Splatoon
Jacky Bryant and Akira Yuki for the brawler, from Virtual Fighter

Five new Amiibos will be available in September: Mii Fighter, R.O.B., Duck Hunt Dog, Mr. Game & Watch, and Falco. While we may need to wait for these, we will need to wait even longer for all fighters to become Amiibos. At least it’s confirmed that all will eventually be released.

Two new stages will be released, Dreamland, the N64 Kirby-themed stage, and a Miiverse Stage, complete with Miiverse posts with the most community votes. Two other N64 stages, Hyrule Castle and Peach’s Castle will be released in the future as well.

The online tournaments originally promised with Smash 4 will finally go online in August, once Nintendo has tested the servers enough to ensure no game-breaking or controller-smashing crashes.

Finally, the rumors are true. Ryu from the Street Fighter franchise is making his way into Smash 4. He is a combo-centric brawler, complete with all of his classic moves. While traditional Smash inputs work for his attacks, the original button combos from the arcade games will result in stronger, faster attacks. He also has two final smashes, A Shin Shoryuken for close-range enemies, and a Shinku Hadouken for long-range.

Ryu is being released with his own stage, Suzaku Castle. Unlike the typical pricing for DLC characters, the bundle for Ryu and Suzaku castle will cost $5.99 for one version of the game, and $6.99 for both Wii U and 3DS versions.

Except for the Amiibos, all of these characters, costumes, and stages are available NOW for download. Good luck getting on the eShop servers!
