SDCC 2014: ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Press Room
Megan Miller ’17 / Emertainment Monthly Staff Writer
When asked about the upcoming season and their experiences on the show, the Sleepy Hollow cast had very diverse answers.
Orlando Jones’ (Captain Frank Irving) first act was to say that people should talk about the fanfiction and fanart of the show. As a major player on Twitter for the show’s publicity, he said that he gets cool perspectives from fans online, and loves the interaction. He wanted to stress that there’s really no difference between him and them, so he likes being able to actually talk to them. He paused a few times to take selfies with fans and seemed exceedingly cheerful as he did so.
For his character’s future, he says that he’s “looking forward to getting out of jail!” The next season, he explained, will focus on the waging war with Moloch.
Katia Winter (Katrina Crane) revealed that her character’s current location is more than just purgatory, which will be explored in season two. She discussed the “beauty and the beast” dynamic between Katrina and Abraham, because she sees the Horseman as the man rather than the monster. She also commented that the dynamic between some of the characters is going to get “pretty weird”.
Tom Mison (Ichabod Crane) talked about some of the challenges and excitement of working on the show; he told the story of his proudest moment, when he was able to make the stunt coordinator “squeal” when he did the stunts. He also explained that he really respects the writers, so he takes their writing and finds interesting aspects of Ichabod from the scripts. He also revealed that the languages are one of the most difficult parts of his job; remembering German pronunciation is tough.
