Ten Must-Needs To Binge Watch 'House of Cards' Season 3
Maya Dinerstein ’16 / Emertainment Monthly Staff Writer
1. Ribs
Frank Underwood’s favorite restaurant is Freddy’s BBQ joint, and Freddy will open up as early as 7am for President Underwood. Order BBQ, or make your own, even those who don’t eat meat can enjoy Morningstar’s vegetarian version.
2. Water
All marathons needs water, and just because you’re not actually running this one doesn’t mean you don’t need to stay hydrated. Have some water bottles in your room/near you, so you don’t have to get up or pause the episode for any reason.
3. Comfortable Clothes
You’re not the president, you don’t need to look nice. And you’re gonna be slouching around for a while, so maximum comfy is the goal.
4. Phone/Tablet/Laptop Chargers
Just in case the power goes out, you’ve got to be ready to watch on any device accessible.
5. Foodler/Grubhub
You’re not gonna have time (or energy) to cook, let’s be honest, so have one of these apps and/or your favorite restaurants phone number so you can get somebody else to cook for you. Frank Underwood would definitely do the same.
6. Snacks
While you wait for your food to be delivered, or your ribs to cook, have healthy snacks like peanut butter around to help keep your energy up. Popcorn and cookies are also great for when you inevitably get the munchies.
7. Coffee/Tea/Energy drinks
Season 2 gave us ~13 hours worth of House of Cards and caffeine is going to help you get through all of them with as little sleep as possible.
8. Tissues
Just in case. Who knows what dastardly things President Underwood is going to get up to, and some of them could be real tear-jerkers [R.I.P. Zoe 🙁 ]
9. Social Media
Because as soon as you finish the season, you’re gonna wanna talk about it.
10. A comfy bed/couch
Every marathoner needs somewhere nice to rest after the ordeal is done; after season 3 of House of Cards, you’ll need a hiatus too.
