New reports are sounding off all over the Internet that the controversial singer called off her engagement to The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth after nearly four years of dating. This report comes just a day after it was announced the Cyrus had unfollowed her hunky fiancée on Twitter. The pair had not been seen together since August 8th on the red carpet for Hemsworth’s latest film, Paranoia. Cyrus and Hemsworth have also spent prolonged periods of time time apart while Cyrus promoted her newest album “Bangerz” in Europe and Hemsworth made an appearance at the Floyd Mayweather fight in Las Vegas.

The news of the breakup may not seem like a surprise for some. Cyrus recently told Harper’s Bazaar that she “definitely [doesn’t] have time to deal with the wedding right now.” Rumors have also been swirling that 23 year-old Hemsworth was romantically linked with January Jones, star of the hit AMC series Mad Men. While Hemsworth and his team denied reports, it seems like now there may just be some truth to them.
The young star’s relationship may have been on the rocks for some time now. Some sources noted that Hemsworth was “disgusted” by Cyrus’ performance at the MTV’s Video Music Awards last month and Cyrus’ recent Twitter diss was possibly sparked by the infidelity rumors.
Hemsworth proposed to Cyrus in 2012 when Cyrus was nineteen. The duo first met when they starred in the film The Last Song together in 2009.
