I watched Allen Stone through the lens of my camera. His thick rimmed glasses and blond shaggy mane bounced with his head to the beat. The fringe on his leather vest swung as he danced to his own music.

His live sessions on YouTube garner millions of hits providing evidence supporting his incredible vocal talent. He’s a blonde, longhaired man from Washington who’s soulful tunes can not only soothe the ears, but can bite in social commentary as heard in his song “Unaware.”

Opening for Allen Stone was Bad Rabbits, a Boston based band that I had been told about for years to check out. I stood in front of them for 15 minutes and left my face melted in the photo pit.

I haven’t grooved that hard at a live show in ages.

Bad Rabbits absorbed all of the energy from the crowd during their set, bottled it up, then threw it right back at the audience.

Lead singer, Fredua Boakye brought a close to the bands set by calling on the crowd to join him in singing the groups song, “Fall In Love.”
