Good news Arrow and The Flash fans, CW is eyeing another potential spin-off from the DC Comics superhero universe. The potential new drama series would combine both worlds and feature several fan-favorite recurring actors/actress from both television shows.
The spin-off would feature Caity Lotz, Brandon Routh, Victor Garber and Wentworth Miller. Lotz and Routh rose to DC Comic fame in the Arrow universe as Sara Lance and Ray Palmer respectively while Garber and Miller play Dr. Martin Stein and Leonard Snart/Captain Cold. All four of these actors quickly became fan-favorites on their respective shows. As of now, Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim will helm the project.

The potential spin-off will also feature three “major” DC Comics characters that have never been seen on a live-action TV series according to Deadline. The other known detail is that the CW is hinting at that the series could skip the traditional pilot process and get ordered straight to a series, which would be an amazing feat for the series.
The next question on fans minds becomes when and where will the spin-off take place? On Arrow Sara Lance was dramatic killed by Thea Queen (Willa Holland) in the season three opener. With Sara being dead, could this new spin-off be set in the past? Sara was a major fan-favorite character on Arrow and her character’s death came a sudden and heartbreaking loss, for both fans and Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). Also, Ray Palmer has finally found a home on Arrow. After coming onto the show this season, he quickly became a fan-favorite. After buying Queen Consolidated and turning it into Palmer Technologies, fans knew he would be staying around for a while. Ray quickly swooped in and stole the hearts of fans and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). With Ray just starting a relationship with Felicity and finally building the A.T.O.M exosuit, how will he leave Starling City? If this spin-off is set in the past, will fans get to see Ray and his fiancé, who died the night of Slade’s (Manu Bennett) attack?

In terms of the two The Flash characters, Leonard Snart/Captain Cold has rained terror on Central City twice now and he became a major villain against Flash (Grant Gustin). Could fans see his time before his run as Captain Cold? On the subject of Dr. Martin Stein, currently he is fused together with Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) as part of the metahuman team, Firestorm. This storyline has become the overarching arc of season one of The Flash and it would be interesting to see Dr. Stein as he creates F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M and his life before the particle accelerator explosion.
More news will surely be revealed but in the mean time fans of both Arrow and The Flash can patiently wait and revel in the amazing news.
The Flash airs on Tuesdays at 8/9c on the CW.
