Weeks after hitting up Boston Calling, iconic 80s alt-rock band the Pixies announced this morning they’ll be playing their final performance at T.T. The Bear’s tonight before the venue closes its doors for good.
“T.T. the Bear’s is one of the clubs that broke us,” said guitarist Joey Santiago, “and we played there many, many times.  And all the great bands that we saw there, we have a lot of wonderful memories of the place.”
The event will be highly exclusive – the $55 tickets will only be available for purchase at the Orpheum Theatre box office at 2 p.m. today. There’s a two ticket limit, and anyone 18 and over who wants to attend needs to be present with a valid ID when buying to receive a wristband for entrance.
If you’re planning on bolting over to the Orpheum later today, don’t forget anything or anyone you’ll need to bring to snag these tickets  – this is a once in a lifetime performance you won’t want to miss.
