The latest in Pixar’s line-up centers around the emotions of a girl named Riley, specifically, Joy, Anger, Fear, Disgust and Sadness, as they all try to help guide her through her every day life. Having already received rave reviews at the Cannes Film Festival, it’s a must see in the summer movie line-up. In this sequel to the original hit, Channing Tatum returns as the titular Magic Mike. With a series full of time travel and unexplored alternate timelines, the Terminator franchise was in need of a refresh. Instead of completely starting over, the franchise is taking another stab at its heavy hitter, T2. Could this be another Guardians of the Galaxy-style curveball for Marvel? Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd as the title hero learning to fight crime on a microscopic level. Already a film with whispers of Oscar recognition in its future, Southpaw stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams. Gyllenhaal has transformed his body yet again for the role of a boxer in need of severe anger management. After his wife is killed in an accident, it’s up to him to win back his title and fight for the last thing remaining of his wife: their daughter. After the enormous success of The Fault in Our Stars comes the second adaptation of one of John Green’s novels. One night, a girl named Margo disappears from her quiet suburban life, and Quentin the next-door neighbor (who has had a crush on her since they were children) sets off to find her. With the mega success of Brad Birds Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, this upcoming Rogue Nation has a great deal to live up to. Once again starring Tom Cruise, the trailer teases Ethan Hunt hanging for dear life onto an airplane already in the sky. Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg also return to provide the support that Cruise may not need but definitely helps make the overall package much more appealing. The story of comic book history’s most enduring superhero teams receives a fresh retooling from Chronicle director Josh Trank. Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Michael B. Jordan star as younger versions of the comic book characters as they learn to use their powers. Alongside is Toby Kebbell as Victor Von Doom, a friend turned arch nemesis of the team; it’s sure to be an exciting entry into the superhero genre.
