Emma Trujillo ‘20 / Emertainment Monthly Staff Writer
Let’s take a look at this week’s Easter eggs in the CW superhero line-up.
Spoilers for Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow through the week of October 24th.
Supergirl 2×3 “Welcome to Earth”

“You should see my other jet,” the President says before the episode’s end. This references Wonder Woman’s Invisible Jet, which is seen in the ’70s TV show.
M’gann M’orzz reveals herself at the end of the episode to J’onn J’onzz. M’gann is a superhero by the name of Miss Martian. She first appeared in Teen Titans #37 in 2006 and was created by Geoff Johns and Tony Daniel. She has worked with both the Teen Titans and Young Justice. The character is best known for being a lead, voiced by Danica McKellar, on the cartoon Young Justice.
The Flash 3×4 “The New Rogues”

Top is another classic Flash rogue. This villain appeared in Flash # 122 in 1961. The traditionally male character could spin really fast in the comics. The spinning gave him increased mental powers and eventually telekinesis. More recently, the character has been able to induce the vertigo seen in the episode.
Earth-17, where one of the Wells is from, is a planet ravaged by nuclear war after an event called the Great Disaster. People are slaves and many have lost the ability to speak.
Earth-19 is an century behind Earth-1. It has a Victorian look.
As Killer Frost, Caitlin starts to explore her powers more and gets her white hair and blue lips.
Arrow 5×4 “Penance”

Tobias Church steals RPGs from AmerTek. In the comics, AmerTek makes RPGs designed by John Henry Irons called Toastmasters. These guns become a big problem on the streets of Metropolis.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow 2×3 “Out of Time”

Yamashiro is the last name of the Japanese family in the episode. It is also Katana’s last name. This family is implied to be her husband, Maseo Yamashiro’s, ancestors. Katana hasn’t appeared on Arrow since season 4.
There was also a vast amount of discussion over the sword made by the Yamashiro family. Maseo inherits his sword from his family, and after his death, his wife, Tatsu, takes it up. This is the Soultaker Sword, a weapon that captures the soul of who it kills.
Stein and Jackson receive a message from Barry Allen in the year 2056. This after the newspaper in The Flash season one. In that, it says, “Flash Missing Vanishes in Crisis” and is dated 2024. This also after the alternate version of the world seen in Legends’ last season in Star City 2046. The only other time the year 2056 has appeared in DC history is in the story Young Justice. It is the year from which Bart Allen, Barry’s grandson and speedster named Impulse. In that year, the world is post apocalyptic. Perhaps Bart Allen will make an appearance in Legends of Tomorrow.
