Dancing With the Stars Premiere
Dancing with the Stars kicked off Season 17 on Monday night with a slightly different look. The show made several minor aesthetic changes to go along with a new slew of celebrity dancers. To start off the night, the celebrities and the dancing partners entered the stage from a red carpet set up outside of the studio. They took their seats next to the judges’ panel, which was moved from one side of the stage to other. The upstairs “luxury box” has also been transformed into a last minute rehearsal space for the contestants. Several stars shined on the dance floor including Glee’s Amber Riley, former High School Musical Star Corbin Bleu, and Saved By the Bell actress Elizabeth Berkeley. Bill Nye (the Science Guy), perhaps this season’s most anticipated dancer) received the lowest scores of the night, though he still received large cheers from the audience.
